On-Demand Training

Our online training was developed for state and local health departments to supplement existing training with specialty courses that enhance efforts in refugee, immigrant, and migrant (RIM) communities. The training may also be useful for community based organizations working with RIM communities during COVID-19. Registration is free and open to all.

  • Receive a certificate of completion for each module
  • Collaborate with public health professionals from across the country on our online discussion boards

Working with Refugee, Immigrant, and Migrant Communities in COVID-19

Time to complete: 1 hour

There is growing evidence that COVID-19 disproportionately affects some populations, including certain refugee, immigrant and migrant communities. This module was developed to support public health professionals and others working with these communities and introduces social determinants of health. The module also introduces the concept of cultural humility and practical ways it can be used to address health disparities in RIM communities.
