For Mothers, by Mothers: A Community Health Meetup That Supports Vaccine Confidence

IDEO.org in partnership with the National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM)  have been working with community leaders and health workers to design vaccine confidence communications and services, rooted in the needs of refugee, immigrant, and migrant communities.

We are eager to share our newest project that we’re calling Mothers x Mothers. It is a toolkit designed to help organizations plan and implement health-focused meetup groups for immigrant and refugee mothers. By equipping community mothers with the tools to host their own meetups, we can increase access to relevant information delivered in a safe, supportive space.

We will also showcase how organizations can support vaccine confidence in any community, not just among mothers. We created Makespace to guide organizations in planning, creating and validating vaccine campaigns in partnership with community leaders.
